January 4-9, 2017 – Big floods hit southern provinces and a lot of people were affected. This led Sri Trang Group to gather together to help the victims. Staff in each branch were in unity to help prepare survival bags, which carried drinking water, food and necessities, to give them in the flooded areas. Also, the group joined forces with the government agencies in the area to distribute survival bags to the victims, especially those hard hit.

Some manufacturing plants of the company were damaged by the floods as well. But the group was not discouraged. Instead, it would work even harder and be ready to help the victims in the affected areas. Over a talks to Auntie Sopee, a flood victim, the group’s staff said she felt sad and worried how her life would move forward. She spent her life without direction, but felt happy when Sri Trang came to help her early, considered as the first one to come here. She thanked the company for such assistance and promised to continue fighting the flooding.         

However, the group will keep on helping the victims, with providing an additional budget. This is aimed at following the group’s direction which has given importance and care to the communities in the area because the company’s plant is the community asset and the community is the friend of Sri Trang.
