Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (“STA”) continues to drive the development of Thailand’s agricultural digital ecosystem through the “Sri Trang Friends” application, a Thai-developed digital platform that directly connects the Company with farmers and supply chain partners. The platform is designed to enhance systematic access to information, services, and benefits initially serving rubber farmers and now expanding to palm growers and other agricultural sectors. Most recently, STA launched the “Friends Shop” feature alongside its “Friends Point” rewards system. This new enhancement integrates community-based merchants nationwide into the platform, enabling convenient transactions, reducing living expenses, and stimulating local economic circulation. Accumulated points can be redeemed as cash equivalents or exchanged for a wide range of benefits covering everyday products and services.
Mr. Vitchaphol Sincharoenkul, Executive Director of STA, stated that the Sri Trang Friends application was first introduced in 2019 under the concept of "One App, Complete Services for Rubber Farmers. The initiative aims to strengthen engagement with farmers while enhancing coordination efficiency and ensuring transparent, systematic, and fully traceable produce trading. At the same time, the platform creates new marketing opportunities for local communities and strengthens collaboration across the agricultural value chain. STA continues to expand partnerships to broaden its merchant network and enrich the range of benefits available to farmers. The platform has also been extended to employees within the Sri Trang Group and the general public, allowing users to accumulate and redeem Friends Points for discounts or cash-equivalent payments at participating community shops and partner merchants. These include fuel stations, coffee shops, supermarkets, and various other products and services ensuring that the platform delivers comprehensive benefits aligned with the everyday lifestyles of Thai consumers.
Currently, the Sri Trang Friends application has attracted more than 150,000 registered users, with over 40 community merchants across various regions nationwide already onboard or in the process of joining the platform. This reflects STA’s strong commitment as a Thai-developed digital platform designed to empower modern farmers, reinforcing community economies, expanding trade opportunities, and empowering Thailand’s agricultural sector toward long-term sustainable growth.
