The company has announced the “Corporate Sustainability Development Policy” and established a sustainability management structure. The Board of Directors has assigned the Sustainability Development Committee to be responsible for setting the direction, policies, strategies, goals, and plans for the company’s sustainability development. This includes identifying risks and opportunities related to sustainability, overseeing, auditing, and monitoring the company’s climate change management activities.

Additionally, the committee is tasked with defining, reviewing, and improving relevant policies and/or practices, managing climate-related risks, and appointing a sustainability working group to collaborate with the Corporate Sustainability Development Department. This ensures that operations align with the company’s vision and effectively achieve the established sustainability goals.

Sustainable Development Committee

On December 31, 2024, the company appointed the Sustainability Development Committee to be responsible for setting the direction, policies, strategies, goals, and development plans for sustainability. This is to ensure alignment with the organization's business policies and plans. The committee also promotes collaboration among sub-committees to implement sustainability initiatives throughout the entire organization

  • To determine directions, policies, strategies, goals, plans, risks and opportunities for sustainable development covering environmental dimension, social dimension, and governance & economic dimension of the Company and propose to the Board of Directors;
  • To support and drive cooperation in operations regarding sustainability throughout the organization by advising and promoting the integration of sustainability performance into business strategies, risk assessment, and corporate plans for both short-term and long-term to achieve the organization’s sustainability goals;
  • To review and recommend the Company’s sustainability practices to be in line with best practices and international standards and up-to-date at all times, and propose such practices to the Board of Directors for consideration, improvement, and development.
  • To consider and approve the organization’s annual sustainability issues in accordance with the needs and expectations of the stakeholders, external context, direction, and goals of the organization, as well as propose to the Board of Directors for approval, and assign the management to respond and follow up;
  • To follow up and summarize the sustainability performance of the organization and report progress to the Board of Directors at least once a year;
  • To oversee the disclosure of The Company’s sustainability information through the Company’s annual report and annual sustainability report;
  • To consider the appointment of a sustainability working group as it deems appropriate.
  • To supervise, inspect, and follow up on the Company’s management operations related to climate change, including setting, reviewing, and improving related policies and/or guidelines, and managing said climate risks as well as giving consideration in setting guidelines and strategies for operations and activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Sustainability Development Working Group

The Sustainability Development Committee has appointed a Sustainability Development Working Group to ensure that various departments implement the sustainability development plan, monitor and evaluate performance against the established plans or targets, and effectively communicate with and respond to stakeholder expectations in a tangible manner.

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize stakeholder groups, and establish concrete methods for communication, identifying needs and expectations, as well as responding to stakeholder expectations in a tangible and effective manner.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize the organization’s material sustainability issues by taking into account both internal and external factors, as well as global sustainability trends, in order to develop the organization’s sustainability development plans.
  • Develop sustainability development plans that align with the organization’s material sustainability issues, covering the environmental, social, and governance and economic (ESG) dimensions. The plans should include clearly defined and accepted key performance indicators (KPIs), and be continuously refined to reflect the organization’s context, international standards, and evolving global sustainability trends.
  • Implement the organization’s sustainability initiatives in a unified and coherent manner that aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives and core goals, and is consistent with the sustainability policies, strategies, and framework established by the Sustainability Development Committee.
  • Assign responsible individuals to ensure that various departments carry out the sustainability development plan, monitor and evaluate performance against the established plans or targets, and report the results in monthly meetings. Continuously and appropriately update the operational plans as needed. This also includes collecting, compiling, and verifying the accuracy of data submitted to the Sustainability Department and other relevant units for disclosure in the company’s Annual Report and Sustainability Report.
  • Support and promote the integration of sustainability initiatives into routine operations and organizational culture, ensuring that the internal control system is effectively managed to meet standard efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure that key organizational sustainability issues are communicated to employees at all levels, enabling them to understand the sustainability matters that may impact the company’s objectives. This promotes awareness and encourages employees at every level to prioritize sustainability efforts, thereby fostering a strong organizational culture.
