Dr. Saranthinee Mongkolrat, (Right), Sustainability Division Manager at Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA) received a certificate of recognition at the closing seminar of the “Project to Promote Greenhouse Gas Emission Target Setting for the Industrial Sector towards Net Zero using the Science Based Target Approach (Phase 3)”. The project was organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency (CEEE), Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, on 18 August 2026 at the Thailand Institute of Justice (Public Organization) in Bangkok.
STA was one of 16 industrial organizations participating in the development of a Net Zero Pathway in accordance with TGO’s updated criteria and guidelines for Net Zero GHG Emissions certification. During the event, representatives from STA’s Sustainability team shared perspectives on integrating Net Zero targets into business operations, as well as the roles of management and employees in driving the company’s climate actions.
Currently, STA aims to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 23% by 2030, using 2024 as the base year, and to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Key actions include improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of renewable energy, and developing greenhouse gas emission reduction plans at both factory and Group levels. At the same time, STA is applying Digital Technology and AI to enhance carbon management by connecting data, monitoring performance, and creating opportunities to advance toward Net Zero Integration, where AI can be applied to analyze data and support long-term carbon management decisions. STA is also advancing the development of low-carbon natural rubber throughout the supply chain, in line with global market trends that increasingly prioritize low-carbon products and sustainable supply chains.
STA’s participation in the project and receipt of this recognition reflect the company’s commitment to turning Net Zero targets into practical action by applying science, technology, and data to systematically reduce greenhouse gas emissions. STA continues to advance its natural rubber business toward low-carbon growth, grounded in social and environmental responsibility, while contributing to Thailand’s sustainable transition toward its Net Zero target.
