Sri Trang Group opened the Rubberland Products Co., Ltd. facility in Buriram for the first “One Sri Trang, One Environment: Sri Trang United in Environmental Care from Upstream to Downstream” event of 2026, bringing together government agencies, community leaders and network partners to learn about the company’s environmental management approach and tour the factory’s operations. A key highlight was the 100% fully enclosed raw material storage building, which helps control air quality both inside and outside the facility, reduces the dispersion of odors from raw materials, protects against external weather conditions, and improves the efficiency of raw material control and storage. Participants also had the opportunity to observe the factory’s environmental management measures and actual operating processes, which go beyond basic measures and standard practices generally adopted across the industry. The event aims to foster greater understanding and collaboration among the factory, government agencies and surrounding communities.
On this occasion, Mr. Kriangsak Somjit, Deputy Governor of Buriram Province who presided over the opening ceremony, delivered the opening remarks and praised Sri Trang Group’s commitment to various standards and requirements. He noted that the growth of the industrial sector must go hand in hand with the conservation of natural resources and the environment from upstream to downstream – from the sourcing of raw materials and production processes to resource consumption, pollution and waste management, water resource conservation, and engagement with communities surrounding industrial facilities. He emphasized that the “One Sri Trang, One Environment” initiative reflects the collaboration among management, employees, communities, government agencies and network partners to jointly create an environment that supports the long-term growth of both industry and local communities.
Following the opening ceremony, Sri Trang Group executives, led by Mr. Chokanan Pantong, Plant Manager of Rubberland Products Co., Ltd., Buriram Branch, guided participants through an exhibition showcasing The Green Journey, Sri Trang Group’s environmental journey – from the production of high-quality cup lump rubber, safe rubber transportation, and the storage of cup lump rubber in enclosed buildings, to odor reduction through bio filters, standardized rubber processing, wastewater treatment, real-time energy monitoring and carbon reduction, and sustainable waste and by-product management. Participants then toured the factory’s operations, particularly the 100% fully enclosed raw material storage building, which securely contains natural rubber raw materials. This environmental measure has been implemented at Sri Trang Group factories across more than 20 provinces nationwide, helping prevent odors from dispersing into surrounding areas and effectively controlling wastewater to prevent leakage into the ground or public water sources. As a result, the factory premises remain clean and orderly while minimizing potential impacts on surrounding communities.
In addition, participants visited the development and study of the E-Nose (odor monitoring solutions) system, which continuously collects and analyzes odor-level data from different areas of the factory. The system also examines the relationship between odor levels and activities and production processes during different periods. The data collected is used to assess trends, identify causes, and develop more effective measures to prevent and reduce odor-related impacts, reflecting the organization’s proactive approach to environmental management through technology and data.
