Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA), the world’s largest fully integrated natural rubber company, received an award at the Intelligent Industry Awards 2026 from the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). Mr. Vitchaphol Sincharoenkul (centre), Executive Director, together with Mr. Akarat Mattayangkul (right), Factory Manager of STA’s Huai Nang Branch, and Mr. Poowanart Laoprasert (left), Factory Manager of STA’s Loei Branch, accepted the award on behalf of the company on 30 October 2026 at S31 Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok. The recognition reflects STA’s commitment to advancing towards Industry 4.0 through the adoption of digital technologies, automation and innovation, alongside workforce development and efficient resource management.
The award recognised the achievements of three STA facilities: the Loei Branch and the Huai Nang Branch in Trang Province for their technically specified rubber (TSR) production operations, and the Kanchanadit Branch in Surat Thani Province for its latex production operations. The assessment criteria emphasised technology applications that deliver tangible results, together with a commitment to continuous organisational development across operational processes, people, energy and sustainability. STA places strong emphasis on research and development to integrate its natural rubber expertise with digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). Key initiatives include Sri Trang AI Machine (SAM), which applies AI to support analysis and decision-making in rubber production processes. To further develop its people, Sri Trang Group also encourages employees to contribute to innovation through its “AI Clinic” programme. The initiative provides a platform for employees across all departments to propose ideas, share experiences and receive expert guidance on applying AI to their day-to-day work. Applications include streamlining workflows, supporting decision-making and improving operational efficiency. The programme develops employees’ skills while cultivating a culture of learning and experimentation with technology throughout the organisation.
Receiving this award at the Intelligent Industry Awards 2026 marks another significant milestone in Sri Trang Group’s development, reflecting its focus on technology, people and the efficient use of resources. By strengthening these areas, the Group is building a solid organisational foundation while continuing to advance the sustainable development of Thailand’s rubber industry.
